How does it actually work?

Pick a group above, tap its WhatsApp button, and send the message. A real Saigon-based moderator reads it and adds you -- usually same-day, always within 48 hours. No account to create, no app to download, nothing to pay.

Completely free, always. Every Saigon People Club group costs nothing to join. Your number never gets sold, the chat stays spam-free, and there are no ads running inside any group.

Can I join more than one group?

Yes, join as many as fit your week. A nomad who rides at sunrise and hits the rooftops Friday night might be in Digital Nomads, Motorbike Culture and Rooftop Nightlife all at once -- most members belong to 2 to 4 groups total.

What's the group size? Won't it be spammy?

We cap every group at 250 people and moderate actively -- anyone dropping crypto links, ads, or off-topic spam gets removed on sight. These chats exist for the members in them, nobody else.

I'm only in Saigon for 5 days. Worth joining?

Five days is plenty. Expats & Newcomers throws a welcome dinner every Tuesday, organizes shared airport rides, and puts a dozen people who actually live here in your pocket before your jet lag wears off.

I don't have WhatsApp. Another option?

Everything in Saigon runs on WhatsApp - taxis, motorbike rentals, food delivery, even booking a doctor - so it's worth the five-minute install regardless. Truly can't use it? Use the contact form instead and tell us your situation; we'll work out another way to loop you in.

Are these groups safe? Vetted?

Before anyone gets added, they send a short intro: one photo, first name, home country, which group they want. Harassment or scam reports get people removed, no debate. Think of it as a community run by travelers for travelers, not a listings site.

A handful of Saigon lifers and long-stay travelers run the whole thing, driven by one belief: nobody should have to figure this city out solo. It began in 2021 as a single WhatsApp thread; today we look after ten. Still a passion project, never a company.
